The Kona Coast of Hawaii is famous for charter boat deep sea fishing.
Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Ono and Tuna are found in abundance year round.
Fishing on the
Kona Coast is almost a guarantee catch. Being protected by the large
volcanic mountains that rise near 14,000 feet, the sea is mostly calm
and it is possible to fish almost every day out of the year. The steep
slopes of the volcanic mountains extend into the sea which makes the
shoreline deep to over 6000 feet only three miles from Honokahau Harbor!
In many sport
fishing destinations a boat must travel great distances to get to the
fishing grounds, but in Kailua Kona, Hawaii, the fishing starts just
minutes outside of the harbor. This is the reason many sport fishing
charters offer half day fishing trips.
We have fun
just catching something. Whether you are a beginner or a professional we
specialize in CATCHING FISH and making sure that you HAVE A GREAT TIME

We pride ourselves on having the best fishing equipment available. We
offer light, medium and heavy fishing tackle. We use Penn International
reels and graphite rods.
Although deep sea fishing ion the Kona Coast is our specialized
activity, the non-fishing people in the party can sun bathe on our
spacious deck, eat, drink, and many days will find dolphins, sea
turtles, or whales to watch or photograph.
There are
usually a couple of Grander's (marlin over one thousand pounds) taken
every year on our Coast. Other billfish targeted are the
Spearfish, Striped Marlin, and the Swordfish. Tuna is also a great sport
fish and you will find the Albacore, Bigeye, Skipjack, and the Yellowfin
Tuna roaming the seas of the Kona Coast.
Besides the
Tunas and the Billfish, you can also fish for Mahi Mahi (Dorado), Ono
(Wahoo), Kahala (Amberjack) and few other minor species. It is no wonder
with the varieties of fish, the calm seas, the wonderful Hawaiian
weather, and the majestic Hawaiian scenery that Kailua Kona is a major
fishing destination for many anglers around the world.
